In October of 2007 Tommy Emmanuel spent 3 nights at the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, California in front of 5 high definition cameras and 5.1 surround sound recording equipment for the PBS TV series Sierra Center Stage. The video firmly reinforces Tommy’s world-wide reputation as one of the finest instrumentalists to step on a stage. His personal charm, musical virtuosity and adeptness at selecting captivating melodies guarantee his fans memorable performances.
This album showcases Emmanuel in all his artistry at a small intimate venue, where he explores the guitar terrain like no one else.
Center Stage is a great mix of the new and the fan favorites from previous Acoustic releases like “The Mystery” and “Endless Road”. DVD feature such songs as Emmanuel’s “Beatles Medley”, “Mombasa”, “Initiation”, “Morning Aire” and include arrangements of popular traditional tunes “House of the Risin’ Sun” and “Amazing Grace”.
It also contain extra performances of Tommy’s that were not originally part of the “Sierra Center Stage” PBS television program.
The DVD features 5 previously unreleased tracks and 4 duets with “Dangerous” Bob Littell on the Harmonica.
