Peter Paul & Mary: The Holiday Concert was filmed during a 1988 benefit concert for the New York Choral Society and Orchestra, who also provide the backup for the trio. This special was originally aired on PBS stations during the holiday season (conducted by their music director, Bob DeCormier).
With backing by a symphony orchestra and a 200-member choir, Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey and Mary Travers revisit '60s folk classics ("This Land Is Your Land," "If I Had A Hammer," "Puff, The Magic Dragon").
The concert features a mixture of the trio's iconic folk classics, traditional spirituals and holiday songs of hope, friendship and peace.
In addition to Christmas music, the trio performs some music appropriate for Chanukah such as "Light One Candle", "Hayo, Haya" and others. Enjoy the Holiday sounds of Peter, Paul and Mary with titles such as "Silent Night," "Twas the Night Before Christmas," "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and others.
